-----------------------------------------
FIRST RACE Probable Post 1:00 PDT 7 Furlongs. All Weather.
3-Year-Olds and Up. Fillies and Mares. Claiming ($25,000
to $22,500)N2L. Purse: $19,000
6 Flashy Traveler (5-2)
5 Ava's Charm (2-1)
2 This Time Baby (3-1)
4 Melbisha (6-1)
6 Flashy Traveler finished well, on the grass, in first
with winners; may not see a quick pace scenario but has
been on since the blinkers were removed. 5 Ava's Charm
scored in what turned out to be a key maiden race, then
returned on the downhill course; better spot to see the
expected improvement. 2 This Time Baby closed well on the
surface in latest; back too soon on the class hike? 4
Melbisha has been closing well with maidens; has a chance
to get up and share the profits.
-----------------------------------------
SECOND RACE Probable Post 1:30 PDT 6 Furlongs. All
Weather. 3-Year-Olds and Up. Optional Claiming ($80,000).
Purse: $50,000
2 M One Rifle (7-5)
1 Cost of Freedom (8-5)
3 Stoneside (5-2)
5 Sixcess (10-1)
2 M One Rifle is working like a serious Headley returnee;
got back to non-rating running in last; and ripped their
heads off. 1 Cost of Freedom is working well for the
return; hard to go past whether he’s ready or not. 3
Stoneside will be closing ground in the lane; may run out
of time. 5 Sixcess has been away a long time; could be
closer than expected off the nice work tab.
-----------------------------------------
THIRD RACE Probable Post 2:01 PDT 4 1/2 Furlongs. All
Weather. 2-Year-Olds. Fillies. Maiden Claiming ($40,000 to
$32,000). Purse: $20,000
2 Grand East Girl (3-1)
6 Regina Beatriz (12-1)
3 Tuesdays With P (7-2)
9 Seethe Girlgo (5-2)
2 Grand East Girl debuts for Miller and Baze; something
under the hood. 6 Regina Beatriz is working well enough
to be considered; O’Neill scores with 16% of these. 3
Tuesdays With P finished well when bet in local debut;
back quickly is a concern. 9 Seethe Girlgo has shown some
spunk in two starts; third start in a month a real cause
of puzzlement.
-----------------------------------------
FOURTH RACE Probable Post 2:32 PDT 1 1/16 Miles. All
Weather. 3-Year-Olds and Up. Claiming ($12,500 to $10,500)
N2L. Purse: $14,000
8 Renzo Sean (5-2) (*BEST BET*)
1 Black Gulch (8-1)
7 Romance Is Family (6-1)
4 Warrens A P Strike (7-2)
8 Renzo Sean keeps Bejarano after three bang up efforts;
just needs to keep the head up at the wire. 1 Black Gulch
ships south off the claim; very sharp but could be a cut
below this level. 7 Romance Is Family may get too far
back; can pass the tired ones for the runner-up position.
4 Warrens A P Strike takes a big class drop; in the mix
with these.
-----------------------------------------
FIFTH RACE Probable Post 3:04 PDT 1 Mile. Turf. 3-Year-
Olds and Up. Starter Allowance (N2L). Purse: $26,000
4 Holladay Road (2-1)
2 Skye Piper (8-1)
6 Quillotano (6-1)
1 Sticky candy (7-2)
4 Holladay Road removed the hood, got the win; return to
the grass, where some solid efforts occurred, a good idea.
2 Skye Piper chased the pick home at long odds; found it
or a fluke? 6 Quillotano goes on a form cycle day; passes
the tired ones in the lane.
-----------------------------------------
SIXTH RACE Probable Post 3:35 PDT 1 1/16 Miles. All
Weather. 3-Year-Olds and Up. Fillies and Mares. Maiden
Special Weight. Purse: $42,000
7 Stormy Slew (7-2) (*LONGSHOT SPECIAL*)
9 Khendum (3-1)
5 Kayce Ace (5-2)
8 S C Song Girl (4-1)
7 Stormy Slew has tried every surface and distance; lone
clunker was the try in the Grade 1 stakes race. 9 Khendum
needed the return at the routing distance; more patience
from the rider could get it done. 5 Kayce Ace finished
well at the tough debut distance; figures to handle the
two turns with that Tiznow breeding. 8 S C Song Girl will
be out early from the tough post; must not falter.
-----------------------------------------
SEVENTH RACE Probable Post 4:05 PDT 6 Furlongs. All
Weather. 3-Year-Olds. Optional Claiming ($80,000). Purse:
$43,000
5 Lions Story (6-5)
1 Eric's Revenge (4-1)
2 Unkindest (2-1)
3 Just Magic (5-1)
5 Lions Story is just flat out better than these; handles
them with little trouble. 2 Ukandoit followed the maiden
win with a solid grass triumph; taking on all comers. 1
Eric's Revenge closed well to get up at the wire; always
close but tries winners, today. 3 Just Magic broke the
maiden at Delmar in a relatively slow time; hoping to grab
a piece.
-----------------------------------------
EIGHTH RACE Probable Post 4:35 PDT 6 Furlongs. All
Weather. 3-Year-Olds and Up. Fillies and Mares. California-
bred. Maiden Claiming ($40,000 to $35,000). Purse: $20,000
11 Dos Veinte (3-1)
6 Miss Peanut (6-1)
1 Usually Super (7-2)
3 Notwithstanding (8-1)
11 Dos Veinte took back, finished well; move to state bred
ranks could do the trick. 6 Miss Peanut woke up in the MSP
ranks; two bullet works since has her sitting on a big
one, on the class drop. 1 Usually Super closed well, in
traffic, on the drop; move back to state breds a real
positive. 3 Notwithstanding has the speed to scrimmage
early; must not falter.
