"THE TEACHER"

I have been playing the horses and teaching for 38 years. My home tracks are River Downs and Turfway Park, and most people at these tracks refer to me as "The Teacher." I find teaching and handicapping to have much in common. I prepare lesson plans for teaching to cover all possible material in a chapter, and I prepare similar plans in handicapping a race. In addition, two of the courses I teach, Accounting and Computer Applications, are very prevalent in my handicapping of races, because I use numbers and computer information to handicap races. I have won numerous handicapping tournaments, including The Road to the Derby Contest two consecutive years at Turfway Park. I put much time into handicapping and will present the selections with sound reasoning.

I play the Ohio, Kentucky, and Southern California. My favorite bet is the pick three. I love the fact that you can play three races and only have one takeout.
